A series of durational performances to document, celebrate, and remember a city.

This project began in 2021 with RE:Membering Manchester as part Word of Warning’s Emergency ‘21 (25th September, 2021) at Contact.

In March 2020, the city of Manchester took a giant intake of breath, and since then it has been struggling to exhale. Locked down and paused, pieces of place were lost as music faded, activity stopped, and work ground to a halt.

This multidisciplinary performance experience documents our collective attempts to pick up the pieces, to glue the city back together, to fix what has been broken.

We want to re-member Manchester, and, in doing so, we want to remember why we are here.
